To many computer users, compiling and burning a video DVD from their computer for use in their home DVD player seems like an overwhelming task, but Windows 7 includes an application that makes it easy.
Windows DVD Maker is an easy to use tool to put photos and videos onto a DVD. To launch it, click the Start button, then start typing Windows DVD Maker to find it in the menu and click it. Once the program is open, click on "Add items" at the top. A window opens that allows you to explore your computer and select photos and videos to add. Now that you have added your files, you can use the up and down arrows on the toolbar to sort them into the desired order. At the bottom of the screen, you can set the DVD Title.
Click the Next button to advance to the menu screen. Here you can choose when the DVD main menu will look like. There are many choices. You can add music to the menu and customize the text. There is also a Preview button at the top so you can see what your DVD will look like before you burn it.
Once you have everything in order, click the Burn button. Windows will burn the DVD then give you the opportunity to burn extra copies.
