About Us

Charles Swihart founded Preactive IT Solutions as a software development company in 2000. In 2003 our focus changed from building software and web sites to providing outsourced IT Solutions for small and medium businesses.

Today we specialize in Managed IT Services providing Network Monitoring, On-Site Support and Help Desk Services to businesses throughout the Houston area.

The principles below explain why we exist, what we do, how we behave and how we will be successful. They guide our decision processes. Whatever we do in our business must be in alignment with these principles.

We exist to provide solutions

Our technicians are problem solvers. We are called upon each day to tackle technology problems. It does not matter if we have never seen your specialized business software before. It does not matter if that other company could not fix it. We provide solutions.

We take ownership of our customers' problems

We understand the stress you are feeling when payroll needs to be done by 5:00PM and QuickBooks refuses to let you open your company file. We put ourselves into the shoes of our customer. We seek to understand what your priorities are and we treat your information technology challenges as if they were our own.

We provide industry leading customer support

Our technicians start training on their first day and the learning never stops. They are trained on our proprietary virus removal protocol, computer repair, customer service, field service, cloud services administration, server administration and virtualization. This constant learning provides our customers with the best IT support available.

We will succeed as a team

Even the most experienced IT support technician does not know everything. The employees at Preactive IT Solutions are a team. They back each other up. When a field technician encounters a problem he has not seen before, he is not left alone to figure it out. He has immediate access to the immense combined knowledge our entire technical staff.
